Free Agent Nation was a Washington Post nonfiction bestseller and business bestseller in the U.S. and Canada. Publishers Weekly says the book "has become a cornerstone of employee-management relations." A free agent himself, Dan held his last real job in the White House, where he served as chief speechwriter to Vice President Al Gore. He's also worked as an aide to U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert B.
