Dr. Karen J. Effrem is a pediatrician, researcher, and and leading opponent of government mental health screening. Effrem is author of the book "The Dangers of Mental Health Screening. She received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University, and her pediatric training from the University of Minnesota. She has provided testimony before Congress, as well as in-depth analysis of major federal education, health, and early childhood legislation for congressional staff.
