| ADP and JackStreet Partner to Introduce Buzzcasting to emerging Internet businesses Alliance advances JackStreet's clicks and mortar strategy.
Los Angeles, CA -- March 28, 2001 -- JackStreet announced today that ADP (NYSE ADP), the leading payroll
processing company, has entered into a strategic partnership with JackStreet to promote the company's Buzzcasting Services to its network of over 250,0000 small and emerging businesses.
Buzzcasting™ combines Internet broadcasting, email, interactive customer service and transaction processing to create a powerful viral marketing tool that leverages word of mouth to inexpensively get new customers. Based on RealNetworks streaming technology, a buzzcast delivers a professionally produced audio interview with a company about its products or services through a web browser or an email. The interview offers answers to frequently asked questions or gift ideas. Buzzcasting aims to combine the stickiness of a good infomercial with the ability of the internet to let listeners chat live with the merchant, make an immediate purchase without leaving the screen and, most importantly, to let the listener pass the entire "interview in a box" onto someone else they think would be interested. And that's what JackStreet calls buzzcasting. In addition, the application allows users to track how may times the interview has been viewed and how many times the BuzzBox has been passed on enabling marketers to measure the return on their investment.
"Becoming a premier partner with ADP is a tremendous vote of confidence for our buzzcasting service. The relationship is a significant step toward our vision of creating an Internet marketing model that is appealing to consumers, effective for marketers and priced within the reach of all e-businesses," said Errol Smith, co-founder of JackStreet. "We are slightly ahead of the curve with this product, but we are confident that it will ultimately gain traction with online marketers because it offers a way for Internet companies to attract new customers at a fraction of the cost of traditional marketing channels," said Smith.
JackStreet's Buzzcasting Network uses RealAudio8 as the core
audio delivery medium because over 180 million unique users have registered as RealAudio users. The interactive chat and transaction processing features are enabled through a partnership with S5 Technologies.
"Our goal is to bring affordable, compelling, rich media marketing to a client base that encompasses both pure play Internet companies and brick and mortar businesses that have established an online presence. This alliance is a key strategic advance," said Smith.
